The Best PMDD Tracker Apps of 2026
Quick answer
We checked 20 PMDD and period apps and ranked 8. Hello Phase is our pick for a free, private PMDD tracker on Android, with no account, your data kept on your phone, a free hormone chart and CSV export. Belle Period & PMDD Tracker is better for DRSP-format logging at $79.99 a year (4.77 stars from 379 US ratings), and PMDD Tracker by Adam Cziko is the no-account iPhone pick that rates symptom severity.
Hello Phase is our app, so we are not neutral about it. We checked every app here against its App Store and Google Play listings, pricing page, privacy label and user reviews on 26 October 2026, without hands-on testing of each one, and we say plainly where another app is the better fit. There are no affiliate links on this page.
How we picked the apps
A PMDD tracker has a job that most period apps skip, which is building a daily record across at least two cycles that a clinician can read. We gave the most weight to daily severity ratings in a DRSP-like format, then to an export for your doctor and to how each app treats your data, judged by its Apple privacy label or Google Play Data safety section and whether it needs an account. We also weighed the free plan and US price, and we left out apps with no update in the last 18 months.

- Platforms

- Privacy
- Google Play Data safety says no data is shared with third parties. No ads and no third-party trackers.
- Ratings
- No Google Play rating yet, 1K+ installs, updated Oct 1, 2026
What stands out. The whole daily log is free. Each day you pick one of eight moods, mark any of 16 symptoms such as anxiety, sadness, irritability, mood swings, fatigue, brain fog and bloating, and add a note. The app splits your cycle into five windows, including a late luteal window for the final five days, and after 10 logged days or two full cycles it flags symptoms that keep clustering in one window, with your top pattern each cycle shown free. The estimated hormone chart and export as CSV or a one-page PDF are free too, and Plus adds a doctor report with your symptoms grouped by phase.
Watch out for. Hello Phase is on Android only. Symptoms are marked present or not present with no severity scale, so it cannot give you the daily severity ratings a DRSP form asks for, and it does not diagnose PMDD. The hormone chart is estimated from your cycle length rather than measured, and there is no cloud backup, so export a file before you change phones.
See what Plus adds on our pricing page.

- Ratings
- 4.77 (379 US ratings) on the App Store, 4.4 (712 reviews) on Google Play, updated Sep 13, 2026
What stands out. Belle is the only app in our ranking whose developer describes DRSP logging, the validated daily form most often used for PMDD. Its listing says it helps you spot PMS and PMDD patterns and create reports for conversations with healthcare professionals, and the company also sells a Belle Ring and a PMDD course, with HSA and FSA payments accepted.
Watch out for. At $79.99 a year it is the priciest app here, and the listing does not say what is free. A Google Play reviewer in April 2026 described "fully registering before seeing anything about a cost", and an App Store reviewer found the symptom list long, writing "there are too many options".

PMDD Tracker (Adam Cziko)
- Best for
- Rating symptom severity with no account, on iPhone or Android
- Price (US, checked 26 Oct 2026)
- Core logging is free. The App Store lists Premium at $9.99 and $39.99 without saying how long each lasts.
- Platforms
- iPhone and Android
- Account
- None. The developer says entries are stored locally on your device.
- Privacy
- Apple label "Data Not Linked to You"
- Ratings
- 4.75 (183 US ratings) on the App Store, 4.0 (59 reviews) on Google Play, updated Oct 14, 2026
What stands out. This small app does the core PMDD job well. You rate symptoms on severity scales and counters, add your own symptoms and treatments, see your cycle phases, and create PDF or CSV reports for your doctor. With no account and entries kept on the device, it is the closest iPhone option to how Hello Phase handles privacy.
Watch out for. The developer's site says PDF reports, extended chart ranges, unlimited attributes and a biometric lock come with the premium upgrade. The listing never names the DRSP, and one App Store reviewer wrote "I feel some main ones are missing" about the symptom list.

PMDD Tracker: HealCycle
- Best for
- Severity tracking with a community and an AI companion
- Price (US, checked 26 Oct 2026)
- Plus Yearly is $39.99 and Plus Monthly is $7.99 in the App Store.
- Platforms
- iPhone and Android
- Account
- Not stated in the listing
- Privacy
- Apple label "Data Linked to You", including health and fitness and sensitive info
- Ratings
- 4.84 (25 US ratings) on the App Store, 3.6 (36 reviews) on Google Play, updated Oct 24, 2026
What stands out. HealCycle pairs severity scales and trend graphs by week, month or cycle with an AI companion, expert Q&A, a women's health community, support groups and webinars. If you want people to talk to as well as a log, that is its strength.
Watch out for. The listing does not mention the DRSP or a doctor export, and its Apple label links health and sensitive data to your identity. Ratings are still few, and one Google Play reviewer wished the feelings section had a list to pick from instead of "a blank page".
On the App Store and Google Play, and at healcycle.com.
Bearable - Symptom Tracker
- Best for
- Finding what correlates with your symptoms across months of logs
- Price (US, checked 26 Oct 2026)
- The Bearable pricing page lists $34.99 a year or $6.99 a month and says the annual plan is often discounted to $18.99.
- Platforms
- iPhone and Android
- Account
- Not stated in the listing
- Privacy
- Apple label "Data Used to Track You" for contact info and identifiers
- Ratings
- 4.77 (6,543 US ratings) on the App Store, 4.6 (10.6K reviews) on Google Play, updated Oct 22, 2026
What stands out. Bearable is the most flexible tracker here. You log symptoms and moods with severity, see what correlates with your symptoms, turn months of logs into reports and connect Apple Health and Fitbit, which suits anyone tracking PMDD alongside other conditions.
Watch out for. It does not lay out a DRSP chart, and its Apple label lists contact info and identifiers as data used to track you, although its description says "We will never sell your data". One App Store reviewer reported Apple Health sleep sync breaking in 2026.

Daylio Journal - Mood Tracker
- Best for
- A quick daily mood journal with data kept on your phone
- Price (US, checked 26 Oct 2026)
- Free to download. The App Store lists Daylio Premium from $4.99 to $59.99 without billing periods.
- Platforms
- iPhone and Android, and Google Play lists ads
- Account
- None. The developer says data is stored locally on your phone.
- Privacy
- Apple label "Data Not Linked to You"
- Ratings
- 4.77 (62,207 US ratings) on the App Store, 4.7 (464K reviews) on Google Play, updated Oct 22, 2026
What stands out. Daylio is the fastest way to build a daily mood habit. You record a mood and your activities in a few taps, the data stays on your phone, and you can export PDF and CSV documents to bring to an appointment.
Watch out for. It has no PMDD symptom list or severity scale. Recent App Store reviews warn about the free trial turning into a yearly charge, with one writing "Be very careful before starting the free trial!", and about the app asking for a review again and again.
On the App Store and Google Play.
Clue Period & Cycle Tracker
- Best for
- A mainstream period tracker for everyday PMS symptoms
- Price (US, checked 26 Oct 2026)
- Clue Plus is $39.99 a year or $9.99 a month in the App Store.
- Platforms
- iPhone and Android
- Account
- Not stated in the listing
- Privacy
- Apple label "Data Used to Track You" for identifiers
- Ratings
- 4.76 (406,450 US ratings) on the App Store, 4.5 (1.5M reviews) on Google Play, updated Oct 21, 2026
What stands out. If your symptoms feel more like PMS than PMDD, Clue is a dependable period app that tracks 200+ symptoms, has modes for perimenopause, trying to conceive and pregnancy, and works with Apple Watch, Oura, WHOOP, Withings and Fitbit.
Watch out for. Clue has no PMDD severity scale, we could not confirm a doctor export in its listing, and data visualization for pattern analysis is part of Clue Plus. One Google Play reviewer wrote "I get at least 2 promotions for Clue Plus every time I use the app".
On the App Store and Google Play, and the Clue Plus page.
Flo Cycle & Period Tracker
- Best for
- Cycle reports for your doctor in a widely used period app
- Price (US, checked 26 Oct 2026)
- Free plan available. The App Store lists Flo Premium from $1.99 to $59.99 without billing periods.
- Platforms
- iPhone and Android
- Account
- Optional, with an Anonymous Mode
- Privacy
- Apple label "Data Used to Track You" for purchases, location, identifiers and usage
- Ratings
- 4.74 (2,005,621 US ratings) on the App Store, 4.7 (5.16M reviews) on Google Play, updated Oct 22, 2026
What stands out. Flo's help center says the free version covers period and ovulation predictions, 80+ symptoms, reminders, Secret Chats, Anonymous Mode and a basic Partner Mode, and the listing mentions cycle report summaries you can download and share with your doctor.
Watch out for. There is no DRSP-style severity scale. In June 2021 the FTC finalized an order with Flo over allegations that it shared sensitive health data with Facebook and Google, and App Store reviews from October 2026 describe a paywall "at the very end of a long setup process".
On the App Store and Google Play, and the Flo help center.
Which PMDD app is best for getting diagnosed?
No app can diagnose PMDD, but the right one makes the record your clinician needs far easier to keep. The DSM-5 criteria say symptoms "should be confirmed by prospective daily ratings during at least two symptomatic cycles", IAPMD notes that PMDD "cannot be diagnosed through blood, hormone, or saliva tests", and a 2017 study found that "retrospective reports of premenstrual symptom increases were a poor predictor" of a diagnosis made from daily ratings.
The standard daily form is the Daily Record of Severity of Problems, or DRSP, which was "developed to aid in the diagnosis and evaluation" of PMDD and is the most commonly used tool of its kind. IAPMD offers a free downloadable DRSP tracker that it calls "the gold-standard, clinically validated tool".
Belle is the best fit for this step because its developer describes DRSP logging, and PMDD Tracker by Adam Cziko and HealCycle both rate severity daily. Hello Phase covers the timing side by showing whether your symptoms cluster in your late luteal days and by exporting every logged day as CSV for free, but it has no severity ratings, so pair it with the IAPMD form if your doctor wants them.
PMDD is less common than many people assume. A 2024 meta-analysis found a pooled prevalence of 3.2% with a confirmed diagnosis, meaning symptoms were monitored prospectively over two cycles, and 7.7% with a provisional one, while the US Office on Women's Health says PMDD "affects up to 5% of women of childbearing age".
PMDD or PMS, what does tracking show?
ACOG describes PMDD as "a severe type of PMS that affects a small percentage of women". The DSM-5 asks for at least five symptoms in the final week before your period that improve within a few days after it starts and become minimal or absent in the week after, and IAPMD adds that at least one has to be a core emotional symptom. Cleveland Clinic notes that PMDD symptoms start 10 to 14 days before a period and usually go away within its first two days.
A daily log makes that on and off pattern easy to see. Counting days on a calendar can drift, because a luteal phase of 10 to 17 days counts as normal and one study found it varied by more than 3 days between cycles in 58.8% of women, so log your real period start dates. If your symptoms stay high all month, tell your doctor that too, since the criteria expect them to become minimal or absent in the week after your period.
Is a PMDD app private?
Some are far more private than others, and the App Store privacy label is a quick check, even though it is what each developer declares to Apple rather than an independent audit. Belle, PMDD Tracker by Adam Cziko and Daylio declare "Data Not Linked to You", HealCycle links health and sensitive data to you, and Bearable, Clue and Flo each list some data as "Data Used to Track You".
Accounts matter as much as labels. PMDD Tracker by Adam Cziko and Daylio need none, Belle requires one and Flo offers an Anonymous Mode. Hello Phase has no account at all and keeps your logs on your phone, and its optional AI coach sends a small slice, such as your question, your cycle day and your last seven days of moods and symptoms, only after you agree on a consent screen.
Apps we left out and why
Me v PMDD was one of the best-known PMDD apps and is still free to download on the App Store and Google Play, with 0 to 10 symptom and mood scales and a link to peer supporters from the Gia Allemand Foundation for PMDD. We left it out because neither store shows an update since November 2021, its US App Store rating was 2.19 from 43 ratings when we checked on 26 October 2026, and a 2023 App Store review describes being logged out with the app no longer recognizing the reviewer's email. If it still works for you, its daily scales are exactly what a PMDD log needs.
MAC-PMSS from McMaster University has not been updated since July 2022, so it falls outside our 18-month rule. Human Health: Chronic Illness offers 2,000+ symptoms and PDF reports, but we could not confirm its Android version, its account rules or how long each Human Plus price lasts, so we did not rank it rather than guess. Nine newer PMDD apps had fewer than 10 US ratings each, including PMDD Tracker & Diary by Lunaire Labs and Steadied, which need no account and declare no data collected, and they are too new for us to judge fairly.
How to choose
Start with your phone. Hello Phase is Android only, so on iPhone the closest private, no-account choice is PMDD Tracker by Adam Cziko. If you are preparing for an appointment about PMDD, pick an app with daily severity ratings and an export, such as Belle, PMDD Tracker by Adam Cziko or Bearable, or print the free IAPMD DRSP form. If you mainly want to see when your hard days come and keep your data off any server, Hello Phase does that for free on Android. On price, the labeled yearly plans here run from $34.99 for Bearable, which it often discounts to $18.99, up to $79.99 for Belle.
Questions people ask
What is the best app for tracking PMDD?
The best PMDD app depends on what the log is for. Belle Period & PMDD Tracker is the best fit for DRSP-style logging, Hello Phase is the best free and private option on Android, and PMDD Tracker by Adam Cziko is the best no-account option on iPhone that rates symptom severity.
Is there a free PMDD tracker app?
Yes, Hello Phase is free for daily logging and export on Android, and PMDD Tracker by Adam Cziko has a free version with daily logging, notes and basic charts. IAPMD also offers a free DRSP form you can download and print.
How long should I track symptoms before seeing a doctor about PMDD?
Track every day for at least two full cycles, because the DSM-5 criteria call for prospective daily ratings during at least two symptomatic cycles and ACOG suggests rating symptoms daily for at least 2 to 3 months. Please see a doctor sooner if your symptoms feel severe.
Can an app diagnose PMDD?
No, PMDD is diagnosed by a clinician, and MedlinePlus notes that no physical exam or lab test can diagnose it. An app helps by keeping the daily ratings that the diagnosis relies on.
What is the DRSP?
The DRSP, or Daily Record of Severity of Problems, is a daily rating form developed to aid in the diagnosis of PMDD, and it is the most commonly used one. You rate each symptom every day, and IAPMD offers a free version.
Is there a PMDD app for iPhone that does not need an account?
Yes, PMDD Tracker by Adam Cziko rates symptom severity and stores entries on your device with no account, and Daylio keeps mood entries on your phone too. Hello Phase is not on iPhone yet.
