Terms of Use
Hello Phase is for tracking and learning about your cycle. It is not a contraceptive and it does not diagnose medical conditions. Predictions, daily reads and coach replies are general information built from what you log, and they can be wrong for your body. If something feels off, please see a doctor or nurse.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under the App Store or Google Play terms that also apply. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as well. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or extract the app's content or code except where the law allows it.
3. Hello Phase Plus
You can track your cycle, see predictions, log check-ins, get reminders and export your data without a subscription. Hello Phase Plus is an optional subscription that adds the features marked Plus in the app.
- Plus comes as a yearly plan or a monthly plan. The price for your region, and any introductory price you qualify for, is shown in the app and on the Apple or Google payment sheet before you confirm.
- An introductory price covers only the first period stated on the payment sheet. When that period ends, the plan continues at its regular price unless you cancel before then.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm. Plus renews automatically for the same length at the price shown until you cancel, and the store may charge the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends, so cancel at least 24 hours before then to avoid the next charge.
- You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, and Plus stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- When you switch from monthly to yearly, Apple or Google handles the change and adjusts or refunds the unused part of your monthly plan under their own rules.
- Refunds are decided by Apple or Google under their policies, and we cannot issue them ourselves.
- If a price changes, Apple or Google tells you before the new price applies to you, and for some increases they ask for your agreement first.
- Restore purchases in the app brings Plus back on a new phone that uses the same Apple or Google account.
4. Premium from earlier versions
Earlier versions of the app sold a yearly subscription called Premium. It is the same subscription as the Plus yearly plan, so after you update it shows as Plus and carries on at the price and renewal date you already have.
5. The coach
Coach notes and replies are written by an AI model from the details you share, and they can be wrong or miss context. Treat them as a starting point for your own judgement, and use the flag button when a reply is wrong or unhelpful. Please do not type anything you would not want sent to an AI service, and read the Privacy Policy to see exactly what is sent.
6. Coach limits
Without Plus, the coach answers three questions a week and writes your weekly note. With Plus, the coach has a daily fair-use limit that is set well above everyday use. Limits reset on a regular schedule and the app shows when, and they exist so the coach stays affordable for everyone. Automated use, scraping, or attempts to get around the limits or payments may end your access to the coach.
7. Your data
Your entries stay on your phone and remain yours, and we do not claim ownership of anything you log. Keep your own export if you change phones, because we cannot recover data from a lost or reset phone.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its name, icon, design, text and code belong to us and our licensors. Feedback you send may be used to improve the app without any obligation to you.
9. No warranty
The app is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted or right for your body. A cycle prediction is an estimate that improves with more logged cycles and can still be wrong.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Plus in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end access for misuse. Sections 8 to 12 continue to apply after these terms end.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Nothing in them takes away rights you have under the consumer law of the place where you live. Before any formal claim, please email us and give us 30 days to sort it out.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The app shows a notice when a change matters, and using the app after the new date means you accept the updated terms.
